Antonia M. Alvidrez, age 94, born June 19th, 1931, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior on June 8th, 2026. She was one of seven children born to Guadalupe and Martha Martinez. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, an amazing grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, mother-in-law and friend. She was loved by so many family members and friends and will be greatly missed. She lived in Shafter CA and built an amazing family with her husband Frank Alvidrez whom she was married to for just over 51 wonderful years. They had 7 children together and she loved to attend her kids and grandkids sporting events. Both Frank and Antonia loved to BBQ with their family and just enjoyed the time they were able to share with everyone. She is proceeded in death by her husband Frank Alvidrez, her children Thomas Alvidrez, Michael Alvidrez and Maryann Walsh. She is survived by her son Andrew M. and Daughter in-law Gail Alvidrez, son Michael D. Alvidrez and daughters Gloria Torres and Louise and son in-law Alex Sandoval. We’d like to send a special thank you to Dr. Hernandez who took extra care to help her and to the friendly staff from Hoffman Hospice who came and offered their support and comfort. We thank you for caring for such a beautiful soul.
“Ease your grief, she is not gone,
For in your heart she lingers on,
Her smile, her laugh, her special way,
Will comfort you from day to day.
You’ll feel her presence in the breeze,
That dances gently through the trees,
And it’s her face that you will see,
When you’re in need of company.
At any time, you can recall,
The love you shared, you saved it all.
And in time, more than anything,
You’ll find peace in remembering”.
