Armanda Marie Ghilarducci

Armanda Marie Ghilarducci, 83, passed away peacefully at home on February 4, 2026, after living a beautiful and fulfilling life. Though her final four years were challenging, she remained warm, compassionate, engaging, and caring to all those around her.

Armanda was the firstborn of Lino and Mary Ghilarducci and grew up in Bakersfield, where she attended St. Francis School and Garces Memorial High School. She went on to pursue nursing at St. Joseph's College in the Bay Area, graduating in three years. She then returned to Bakersfield and began her career as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital, where she served as head nurse in pediatrics. She later joined the CSUB Health Center, where she remained until retiring in the early 2000s to lovingly care for her mother, who passed away in 2014.

Armanda sparkled and shined throughout her life. She formed many lasting friendships, especially with former coworkers from CSUB. She loved traveling and visited Italy and Argentina with her father to meet distant relatives prior to his passing in 2001. She also accompanied her mother on cruises to Hawaii, creating cherished memories together.

She found great joy in her garden and flowers, a passion she shared with her mother. Together they were devoted cat lovers, and there were always cats happily roaming inside and outside their home. Armanda truly embraced life and lived it to the fullest.

She is survived by her brothers, Amato and Lino Michael; her sister, Lina; her Aunt Ginger Rowe; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Lino Ghilarducci, Jeff Ghilarducci, Lee Ghilarducci, Eric Ghilarducci, Jerry Pierucci and Joe Pierucci.

Services will be held on February 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Doughty Calhoun Mortuary, followed by a graveside service at Union Cemetery.
