Bert Moosios

Bert was born in his beloved Bakersfield, CA on May 25, 1936. He went to be with the Lord March 2, 2022. Bert loved people and never met a stranger. He worked for New York Life Ins. Co. for 55 years and truly had a passion for his career and clients. He was a proud member of Stockdale Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf and seeing his friends. You could often hear him re-living his hole in one on 18. Bert had 2 children, Tami Moosios and Todd Moosios. 

He married the love of his life, Louise Powell in 1985 and had 2 stepchildren, Sylvia Wood and Clyde Orrick.  He loved his family dearly. Bert and Louise loved to travel and often traveled abroad due to his success with New York Life. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Ahepa. He loved the Greek Food Festival, and you would usually find him dancing or tending bar. It was the family’s great privilege to attend the last festival with him. “We will miss you Dad.”  Bert was preceded in death by his wife Louise Sept. 21, 2021.

Services will be held Wednesday March 9^th at 1:00 p.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church. The burial will follow at Historic Union Cemetery.
