Christine Marie Puncer

Christine Marie Puncer of Bakersfield, California passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021
with her loving husband, Dave, praying the rosary by her side.
Christine was born to Cesario & Magdelina Vigil of Raton, New Mexico, on January 2, 1934.
She was the first baby born in the New Year for the area and she made the papers.
Christine attended St. Mary’s Catholic School then went on to attend Albuquerque High
School, where she graduated. Christine loved roller skating, which is how she caught the
eye of the love of her life for the next 68 years, David Puncer. The couple married on
February 28, 1953, and had three sons. Christine loved interior decorating, cooking, and
entertaining with friends and family. She especially loved having her whole family home for
her annual Christmas party.
Christine is survived by her husband David J. Puncer, son; Mark Puncer (Kathryn) of Chino
Hills, CA, grandson; John Puncer, great grandson Odin, grandson; Scott Puncer, great
grandson; Devin, son; Greg Puncer (Mary) of Bakersfield, CA, grandson; Joseph Puncer,
granddaughter; Rachel Fink (Michael), grandson; Andrew Puncer, granddaughter; Hannah
Lupo (Alejandro), great grandson; Malachi, grandson; Benjamin Puncer, granddaughter;
Elizabeth Puncer, grandsons; Paul and Luke Puncer, granddaughters; Theresa and
Veronica Puncer, grandson; Peter Puncer, sister; Isabella Garcia of New Mexico and sisterin-
Law; Mary Singleton of California.
Christine will join those who passed before her – her parents; Cesario and Magdelina Vigil,
brothers; Ernest, Leonard, Walter, and Eloy, sister; Rosella, and her beloved son David M.
Puncer of Chino Hills, CA.
