ELOISE EASTER

Eloise was born in Pasadena, CA on May 23, 1929 to Andrew and Thelma Malone. Eloise passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 31, 2023 with her granddaughter, Rachelle by her side. She was 94 years of age losing her thirteen-year battle with leukemia. She has lived in Bakersfield for over 70 years.

 

Eloise had Infant Day Care in her home for many years caring for and nurturing children under the age of 4, including her grandchildren from time to time. This brought her so much joy and purpose.

 

After being diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia she started educating herself in nutrition. encouraging her family and friends about eating healthy. Her independence was shattered when she fell in her home. She lived the past 2 years at Pacifica Senior Living, where she was loved by staff and residents with her infectious personality.

 

Eloise was heartbroken when her youngest son, Jeffrey Easter passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago. She loved her family well, they were the joy of her life.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

She is survived by sons, Greg Easter, Brad Easter (Rosalee), granddaughter, Rachelle Howard (Troy), grandson, Bryan Easter (Heather), granddaughter, Heather Steinbeck (Scott), great granddaughter, Brooke Grant (Michael), great grandchildren, Gavin Easter, Hudson Steinbeck, Harper Steinbeck, Briar Easter; great, great grandchildren, Willow Grant and Jameson Grant. Sister, Irene Guire, and niece, Dawn Terle (Joel) and nieces and nephews. Recently through ancestry she met her granddaughter Dionne Lewis (Damien), and was so happy to be reconnected with cousins, Jody Malone and Patty Malone Smith. Close family friend, Deah Stanley and long-time friend, PJ Clemo.

 

Thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at Pacifica Senior Living and Hoffmann Hospice for the wonderful care Eloise received in the last few months before her passing.  In lieu of flowers you may donate to Hoffmann Hospice.
