GREGORY ALAN ADAMS

Gregory Alan Adams left this world too soon on March 9th, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bakersfield, Greg lived here for his entire life, attending Panama and Sandrini Elementary Schools, Thompson Junior High School, and graduating from Stockdale High School in 1995. After high school he moved on to Cal State Bakersfield, from which institution he graduated a few years later. An accountant by trade, Greg had an extraordinary memory, particularly when it came to remembering statistics and episodes from sports history, a fierce commitment to an evolving set of musical groups (including the Doors, Queen, and the Who), and a personality that grew more unique the longer you knew him. Competitive to the core, Greg’s early sports achievements in baseball morphed into impressive achievements in both competitive dart and pool leagues. In the last months of his life, Greg enjoyed reconnecting with friends, spending time with family, and watching sports; Freddie Freeman’s World Series home run provided a final high note for this lifelong Dodgers fan. Throughout out it all, Greg maintained a remarkable ability to remain positive yet realistic, taking care to ensure that those closest to him were taken care of. Predeceased by his parents (John and Melinda Adams),Greg leaves behind three brothers (Kevin, Brian, and Dean), two dogs (Brownie and Salty), several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and countless friends from The Belvedere.
