John Ambrose Soegaard

It is with great sadness that Lisa and Javier Soegaard announce the passing of their son, John Ambrose Soegaard at 6:46 am on May 22 at 39 weeks after developing a true knot in his umbilical cord. Lisa and John Ambrose were given loving and dignified care by Dr. Gregory Klis and Cassandra from California Obstetrics and the Family Birth Center nursing staff at Mercy Southwest Hospital. John Ambrose is survived by his parents Javier and Lisa (née Soper); siblings Magdalena, Isla, and Rory; his grandparents, Mike and Marcie Soper, and Libby Soegaard; his aunts and uncles José Soegaard III and Luigi, Katherine, John and Molly Soper; as well as numerous loving cousins from the Antongiovanni, Devine, Soegaard, Penders, and Gonzalez families. He is preceded in death by his siblings Vincent and Noel, his grandfather Tony Soegaard, and his great grandparents, including his namesake, John Stanley Antongiovanni. Although his time was cut tragically short, his life brought the divine hope and joy of new life. Services for John Ambrose will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church at 12300 Reina Road in Bakersfield.
