Joseph was born July 2, 1963 and passed over to our Lord on June 12, 2021. He was the youngest child of Fred Sr. and Charlotte Feliz, born and raised in Bakersfield, very proud of his native Piute heritage.  Punkin, as we affectionately call him, was clearly his Mom and Dad's baby boy.  He had a beautiful spirit, a hardy laugh, and would help anyone in a New York minute.  If you ever needed a handy man, he was the one to call.  He could do or fix just about anything.  Punkin enjoyed spending time with his wife and family.  He could often be found playing casino games on his phone or watching sports with his brother in law Gabriel.  Most of all, he loved spending time playing with his grandson Robert whom he loved dearly.  Robert was the" lil light" in his eyes.   Joseph was a loveable and caring person.  After his father passed away, he took it upon himself to help many family members in need.  Punkin will be dearly missed by all who knew him and were touched by his kindness, especially by his wife and family.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father; Fred Feliz Sr., mother; Charlotte Feliz, son; Joseph Rene Feliz, brothers; Charles Hernandez, Ronald Feliz, Fred Feliz Jr., sisters; Phyllis Andres, Mary Ann Feliz and Freda Feliz.

He is survived by the love of his life, wife; Charmaine Ronquillo Feliz, son; Leo Feliz, step-children; Joseph, Vicente, Richie, Cecilia, Marcelina, and Mari, brothers; Phillip Hernandez, Theodore (Diane) Feliz, Gerald Feliz, Adolph (Amanda) Feliz, sisters; Linda Dugan, Josephine Feliz, Shirley Martinez, Charlene Fernandez, his 1 and only grandson; Robert Salazar, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joseph's family would like to express a very special thank you to his nurse Walter and all of the nurses at KMC who took such good care of him in ICU and DOU.

Growing up till I was 12 years old I never knew my dad, never even saw a picture of him. My mom and my family really never talked about my dad but I always wondered what he was like then one day out of the blue my uncle Donnie said he ran into my dad on the bus. I didn't believe him though so he called my dad and I heard my dad's voice for the first time my dad told me that I was was going to meet him the next day. I was so excited I didn't even sleep that night the next day I met my dad for the first time and for once I felt whole. That was the best day of my life. We went to breakfast and I was so nervous I couldn't even talk. My dad made that feeling go away really quick when he started asking me questions and the nervousness was gone. We talked for hours and he took me to buy clothes. We were having a good time, the best time, then he took me to meet Charmaine his wife then the nervousnes came back my dad told that she's not trying to take my mom's place but it will be like I'm having a second mom. We met Charmaine and my dad introduced me to her, that's when I met my mom for the first time. My biological mom really never felt like my mom she was trying to be more like my friend but I'm proud to call Charmaine my mom because she is my mom she treated me like her own. If it wasn't for God making my uncle and my dad cross paths I probably never would have met my dad and my mom but I'm glad I did. It's the best thing that ever happened to me and a memory I will hold on to forever. I know my dad is gone and once again a piece of me is gone but I know that one day I will get that piece back but until then I still have a piece of my dad and I still have my mom to help me through it .... To my dad Joseph Feliz I love you and I will miss you so much and I will never forget you and will be together again one day...this is the best memory of my pops Joseph Anthony Feliz
