KATHY GOODRICH

Kathy went to be with our Lord and Father.  She passed away in her sleep at home. Kathy was a loving soul who graduated from West High School in 1972.  A Bakersfield native, she leaves behind two half-brothers, Jimmy and Butch Averill, cousins Jim, Bob, and Tom Tyack, and loving cousin Donnie Goodrich, along with many friends and neighbors.

Kathy worked at Mercy Hospital for over 17 years as an x-ray technician. She spent many of her youthful years training and showing dogs. Kathy, a lover of animals, also worked with the Bakersfield SPCA.

Kathy, who read her Bible every night, attended Stine Road Baptist Church for many years, along with several other churches. She always had a big smile when she greeted strangers and friends. Kathy, this world won’t be as blessed with the loss of your loving soul. May you rest in peace with our Father and in Jesus’ loving arms.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at Union Cemetery.
