Linda Dea Riccomini was born in Beckley, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R. True Bristol and Vieva Z. “Dea” Bristol; brother Wilson T. Bristol; and the love of her life for over 42 years, Marino J. Riccomini.
She is remembered as a farmer's wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by beloved daughter Lisa Dea Riccomini Clancy, son-in-law Garrett Clancy, and granddaughter Sabrina Lucia Clancy, all of Bell Canyon, CA., and with whom she lived since November, 2022. It was an honor for her family to have cared for her in her last years. She also leaves behind two dear friends of over 60 years, Joleen Flynn and Helene Quilici, and her Bakersfield cousins/friends Melinda and Chris Riccomini whom she adored, as well as many other friends in Bakersfield and LA, and her New England family.
Linda moved several times during her youth. She lived in Westwood, Sherman Oaks and Redwood City before settling in Bakersfield. She worked 15 years for Pacific Bell, and then many years in farming in Shafter with her husband at John Riccomini Farms. She loved horses and enjoyed horseback riding—a love she passed on to her daughter, and to her granddaughter whom she loved to watch ride—and held a general love for all animals, especially her beloved cats. Linda was exceptionally strong, kind, and a class act, always. She will be dearly missed.
Linda was a 1955 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Belmont, CA., and attended Notre Dame de Namur College. Her love of education spurred her, along with her daughter, to establish a scholarship in her late husband’s name at California State University, Northridge.
