Mary Linda Fernandez

Mary Linda Fernandez, 70, Bakersfield California , passed away on 12/6/21.

Mary was born August 19th, 1951 in Rural Inglewood, California. She graduated from Inglewood High School and later received a nursing degree from Bakersfield Community College, eventually becoming a Registered Nurse.

Mary loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest. She never turned down anyone in need. She had a green thumb and loved gardening.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Hazel, her son Michael of Bakersfield, Ca and her half-sister, Shirley Whitney of Connecticut .

Mary is survived by her 5 Sons: David, Manny, Joseph, Jason, and Nicholas all of California, and her Daughter: Lisa of California . Her brother: Ernie of Oregon , and her 2 sisters: Martha of Arizona and Deborah of California , 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

There will be a visitation at Doughty-Calhoun-O’Meara Funeral Home on January 8, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will follow at the Historic Union Cemetery in Bakersfield .
