Our beloved brother and uncle, Michel "Mike" Ansolabehere passed away on 20 August 2026, aged 77.
Mike had a rare gift with his wit and sense of humor for connecting people and making friends! He loved family gatherings, home-cooked meals, and his compassion and humor filled every room.
He successfully worked all his years in livestock-oriented businesses, often with his brother Ben. He will be remembered most fondly for his determination, entertaining and irreverent sense of humor, along with his devotion to family and lifelong friends.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held in Texas at a later date. Guests are encouraged to share stories that capture their special friendships.
Interment with graveside services will be in his hometown on October 13, 2026 at 11 am at Union Cemetery 730 Potomac Ave, Bakersfield, California.
Mikes family will forever cherish his smile and easy laugh, sense of humor, generosity, and unwavering loyalty — the threads that bound them together.
Mike is survived by his brother Ben (Kim), sister Elizabeth Arduain, beloved dogs Georgie & Gracie, his 3 Musketeers; Nephew Michael Ansolabehere (Olivia), Niece Noelle Schilling (John), Nephew Alain Arduain (Sarah), and great nieces, Ella, Harper, and GiGi.
