Pamela Ann (Reynolds) Wells was born on March 2, 1957, to Ronald and Marie “Lynn” Reynolds in Bakersfield, California. Affectionately nicknamed “Twiggy” by her father as a child, she attended Bakersfield schools and graduated from Highland High School in 1975.
In 1984, Pam met the love of her life, Anthony Phillip “Phil” Wells of Shafter. The two married in 1990 and built a beautiful life together: traveling, entertaining friends and family, and always finding new ways to have fun until Phil’s untimely passing in 2003.
Although Pam’s life changed greatly after losing Phil, her enthusiasm and joyful spirit never wavered. She remained passionate about her career and was surrounded by a wide circle of friends and a loving family. Pam loved her home and the faithful dogs who shared it with her: first Carson and later Lexi. She delighted in decorating for every holiday and hosting Easter and the Fourth of July with family and friends. Her days were rarely complete without making the rounds to visit her wonderful neighbors. Pam had a zest for life that began at an early age and remained unmistakably hers throughout her years. She was curious, warm, and full of light and love.
On the first day of autumn, September 22, 2026, Pam passed from this life to the next. Her sudden passing was unexpected and left those who loved her shocked and deeply saddened.
Pam was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Phil, and her parents, Ron and Lynn Reynolds. She is survived by her son, Jason Richmond, and his wife, River; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Jacob, and Maverick; her sister, Peggy Hubble; her brother, Mark Reynolds; her nephews, Justin and Zachary Casey and Mitchell Reynolds; her niece, Leah Reynolds; her aunt, Linda Solomon; her aunt and uncle, Libby and Mike Doolittle; many cousins; and many friends, all of whom adored her.
A viewing will be held Thursday, October 22, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Doughty Calhoun O’Meara Mortuary. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 23, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pam’s name to Marley’s Mutts, Links for Life, or your favorite local charity.
