Paul Louis Rodrigues, a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and a life-long resident of Bakersfield, CA, passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2022 at the age of 45.
Paul worked for Quinn Caterpillar in Bakersfield, CA for over a decade. If you asked Paul about his job, he’d say “I’m the best mechanic they have.” In his spare time, Paul could be found at a Bakersfield Condor hockey game, watching his beloved San Francisco 49ers play on a Sunday, or Morro Bay rock, feeding the squirrels or eating. You couldn’t name a restaurant in Kern County Paul hadn’t eaten at.
Paul was born on August 6, 1976 and grew up in Bakersfield. On October 24, 2009, Paul married his wife, Richelle, or as he’d like to call her “Rohell” and became a father to two boys, Noah and Nicholas. You could always find Paul wearing and supporting his son, Noah, with a Navy AIRR Rescue hat. He never left home without it. And if there was a new movie to be released, he was the first to buy two tickets for Nicholas and him to catch it. Whether the movie was good or bad, Paul would go home and re-watch the movie over 5 times, learning it word for word.
Paul is survived by his wife of 14 years, Richelle Rodrigues and their two son’s Noah and Nicholas Donath. As well as his three best friends, Socko, Chuy and Clyde, truly a man’s best friend.
