Rafaela Osorio Eby

Rafaela “Rafa” Eby, 79, died peacefully on November 25, 2025 leaving behind her two daughters, Nicole (Tony) Nausieda, Barbara (Will) Fullingim, her brother, Pedro Osorio, her grandchildren, William Maxwell, Bruce Aiden, Sunshine Penelope, Minerva Minnie, Harrison Victor, Marielle Rose, and Juliette Lily, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rafa was born in San Juan Nepomuceno, Colombia to Fernanda and Pedro Manuel Osorio. She was the youngest of four children and affectionately spoiled by all to no end. Rafa met the love of her life, Bruce Eby, whom she married in 1976, and they spent 40 years of joyful, devoted marriage together before Bruce’s sudden passing in 2017. Rafa enjoyed listening to music, eating desserts, and endlessly chatting with friends. Most of all, Rafa relished being a mother and grandmother and gave herself fully to being present as often and as much as she could. A special thank you to the staff at Vitas Hospice Bakersfield for giving Rafa dignity, compassionate care, and new friendships before her passing.
