Richard, the man with the spark he wasn't just wires and a work boots; he was the guy who made everything lit. From Bakersfield lights to that old porch fan, if it needed a fix, it was Richard's plan. He’d show up with coffee, a grin ear to ear, with pliers in pocket and jokes in supply. He'd fix up your fuse and make you cry (laughing). And boy, did he hustle. He never sat still, unless he was laughing or working the drill. A Kern County, legend, in daylight or dark. He was more than an electrician. He was our spark.
