WILMER "BILL" REYNOLDS FARRELL

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wilmer "Bill" Reynolds Farrell, on July 12, 2023. He passed away peacefully at home in Bakersfield, California surrounded by his loved ones. Bill was born on March 15, 1934, to Wilmer Lee Farrell and Mabel Berniece Reynolds. He attended Kern Union High School (BHS) and later joined the Army where he served for three years and was honorably discharged. During school breaks, he worked as a welder for McCarthy Tank and Steel where he honed his skills in metalworking. After graduating from Fresno State College, Bill taught Industrial Arts at Delano High School for 30 years. He was a Mason at Lodge 309 in Delano. Following his retirement from teaching, Bill continued to serve his community by taking on several roles on the Board of the Allen Road Mutual Water Company.

Bill is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathy, who shares his passion for photography. He also leaves behind his children from his first marriage, Adrienne (Gregg) Buckle, Yvonne Farrell, and Danielle (Chris) Carrisalez, as well as his grandchildren Andrew (Calais) Buckle, Luca, and Milan Farrell, and Dominic and Claire Carrisalez.

We would like to recognize Hoffman Hospice who provided comfort and support to the family.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 10:00 am at Doughty Calhoun O'Meara, 1100 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, 730 Potomac Avenue.
